To add a frame to your order, go to any product page and you will see all of the available framing options there. Simply click on the frame thumbnail to add the desired frame. The framing interface allows you to preview the painting with various types of frames before making a final decision.
Prices vary according to the frame type and size of your painting. Typically, framing prices range from $250-$500. Framing prices are listed on the product page.
Yes, customers are free to order a painting without a frame. If you purchase a painting without a frame, we will send you the painting rolled up inside a protective tube.
A rolled canvas is a painting that is rolled up and sent to a customer inside a protective tube. For customers wishing to frame the painting later, we will ensure that the artist working on the painting adheres to the specified dimensions while leaving enough space around the edges of the canvas for framing.
Yes, for rolled canvases that are sent out to customers inside a protective tube, we typically leave 5 inches of white space around the edges, so you are free to mount or frame the painting yourself.
Our standard frames are made of wood. We also offer various metal frames, polystyrene frames and frames made of medium-density fiberboard (MDF). Every frame is made by hand from the best raw materials with meticulous attention to features, design and attractiveness.
Our website provides extensive images of all of the frames we offer. Please bear in mind, however, that different computer monitors may display colors slightly differently, so the colors of frames may differ slightly from the images on the website. Also, please bear in mind that all of our wooden frames will vary slightly in color and grain from how they are depicted online. Please contact us if you have any concerns about frame colors and textures.
Unfortunately we do not offer a pattern match service for frame corners. This is an environmentally-conscious decision since it reduces waste.
Yes, frames are assembled by our staff before they are packed and shipped to customers. Frames arrive ready to hang and include a pre-attached hanging wire and mounting hooks.
Currently, customers cannot order a frame separately.
For safety reasons we can only frame up to a certain size. Once the maximum size is reached the framing option is automatically disabled. If your desired canvas size is larger than this, you will not be able to add a frame to your order.
Our standard frames will cover a quarter inch on every side and will take half an inch from the width and half an inch from the height.
Hang your painting in a place where heat, moisture and light can’t damage it.
Yes, we offer canvas stretching, including various wrap styles. Please note that stretching / mounting services are provided only for oil and acrylic paintings.
1. Visit the appropriate product page and under ‘Frame Options,’ select ‘More Options,’ located at the far right end of the Frame Options row.
2. In the pop-up window select ‘switch to canvas stretching,’ which will then display all of the available stretching options.
3. Once you have decided on your stretching option, click on ‘select stretcher bar’.
Between $200 and $400, depending on the canvas size and the thickness and style of the chosen stretcher bar.
We offer three wrap styles and various sizes:
Gallery Wrap - The gallery wrap is a modernized way to showcase art on a classy canvas. In this type of wrap, the canvas is folded over the rim of a wooden stretcher frame. The canvas is attached to the back of the frame and the painting stretches perfectly across the canvas, covering all of the sides. When you hang the painting on your wall, it offers an uninterrupted view of the image, without any white margin or side clips.
Museum Wrap - The museum wrap is the usual way to display art on a canvas. Only the borderline area of a painting folds over the rim and the sides are left white. This gives the painting a neat look that allows it to be displayed within or without a traditional frame.
Black Wrap - The black wrap is an innovative way to display art on a canvas and offers a clean and minimal finish. There will be a solid black border along the sides, with the image appearing only on the front of the canvas.
